The Senior Accounting Manager will be to provide day to day oversight of fixed asset and leasing accounting group. The purpose is to effectively manage the accounting staff of the team and deliver accurate and timely finance and accounting services to multiple operating divisions. Position will be responsible for achieving the overall key performance indicator targets (KPIs) for the department. Position will provide day to day oversight of assigned accounting group and champion the implementation of group initiatives, internal controls and process improvements.

This position has been segmented as 100% virtual/remote meaning The work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories. If in Chicago/Rosemont or Phoenix/Tempe, AZ, would be highly encouraged to network in our corporate offices at those locations.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide leadership tostaff to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial information;

+ Responsibility for overseeing the month end close process;

+ Oversight for all technical accounting transactions for assigned area or responsibility;

+ Key point of contact to RegionalVP’s and Directors of Finance with responsibility for developing and sustaining a close working relationship with each internal customer for all assigned roles and responsibilities;

+ Take ownership of research and resolution of accounting issues within area of responsibility;

+ Partners with the Regional VP’s and Directors of Finance and other Controller Team member to drive results, continuous improvement and maximize performance;

+ Perform various tests/reviews of financial reporting control procedures to ensure compliance with the Company’s internal control framework;

+ Perform various financial analysis procedures to assist in identification of potential accounting issues;

+ Review complex balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve identified issues;

+ Acts as subject matter expert on applicable processes and programs;

+ Travel minimal

+ Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants,

Relationsips:

+ Internal: Collaborates closely with Regional and Area Finance Staff members, Internal Audit,Support Office and Corporate accounting personnel and other Controller team leaders

+ External: External Auditors

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Must possess minimum of 8 years of finance and/or accounting experience and a minimum of 3 years management and supervisory experience required.

+ Experience in the foodservice/distribution environment preferred.

+ Experience in Financial Shared Services environment a plus.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Ability to effectively interact with cross-functional groups in multiple geographic locations.

+ Must display strong attention to details.

+ Possesses the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.

+ Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements.

+ Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office especially MS Word and Excel as well as MS Outlook.

+ PeopleSoft GL experience is a plus.

+ Must possess highly developed written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $100,500 – $134,000 . In New York City, the expected compensation for this role is between $119,600 – $159,500. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $113,600 – $151,500. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $113,600 – $151,500. This role is also eligible for sign-on bonus and an annual incentive plan bonus.
