Job Description
Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. supports Investments Research, Investments Specialist and Product Strategy and Management teams through advanced evaluation and application of investment, financial, economic, and/or statistical data. Responsible for the following duties: Quantitate and Qualitative Analyses: produces robust analyses on the investment performance and characteristics of current and prospective subadvisors. Due Diligence: supports the Senior Analysts and Research Directors in preparation of analyses on prospective subadvisors and underwriting of current subadvisors. Performance Measurement Tools: utilizes analytical and performance measurement tools to prepare portfolios relative to market indices and relevant peer group. Collaboration: works with IST and Distribution Teams to produce custom analyses of Harbor Capital’s funds relative to competitor funds for use in client preparations; produces quarterly reports for Financial Performance Reporting team; assists Research Directors in preparation of Themes materials for the Marketing Team; assists IST team with thematic research as well as ad hoc fund specific content in support of marketing / sales / retention campaigns. Product Specific responsibilities: works with Product to enhance industry level score cards and help design new product specifications as well as to enhance consistent assessments of what products Harbor Capital will work on and why to maintain the product pipeline. Enhance frameworks for determining demand assessments for current and future products, and enhance economic models with managers to improve interactive pricing frameworks for products incorporating forecasting and scenario analysis. Assist Executive Committee with strategic plans and building various vehicles, support lead Harbor’s “Deal Team” during manager negotiations, develop initial processes to define an eventual Acquisitions and Adoptions team, and assist in being the go-to group for management to provide data and insight related to corporate product questions and aide in the decision-making process.
