Work Week
20 hours per week - Schedule will vary depending on student's class schedule.
Position Summary
- Earn 1-3 credits engaged in hands on learning on the MCC Student Farm
- Assist with all aspects of vegetable and fruit production from seed to sales
- Visiting local farms and instruction on agricultural marketing is included in this paid internship
- Intro to Ag Practicum AGR 107, or instructor approval, is a required prerequisite
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Position requires frequent bending, stretching, and lifting
- Must be willing to work in hot, cold, wet, buggy environments.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Background Check
- Completion of New Employee Training
- Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
- If student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds
