Job Description

CTF Illinois is seeking a motivated BCBA in the South Suburbs of Chicago to join our team of passionate behaviorists to promote our mission of empowering each individual we serve to live the life they want to live.

Full Time Monday- Friday, No On Call!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide individual, group, and mental health supports to adults living at CTF using a variety of therapeutic techniques – CTF encourages creativity and flexibility while individualizing all supports
  • Complete relevant behavior assessments to determine support needs and to develop goals with the input of the person, their loved ones, and their support team – CTF emphasizes empowering the individual to be part of their supports
  • Develop individualized behavior support programs (BSP) that promote personal growth, independence, and adaptive behaviors – CTF utilizes positive behavior supports and least restrictive interventions
  • Model positive behavior supports and train direct care staff, family members, and others on the person’s care team to most effectively implement BSP in natural environments – CTF strives to create a collaborative environment with consistency across environments
  • Analyze and interpret behavior data to create a monthly progress reports and to update BSPs to reflect most up-to-date support needs – CTF implements data-driven supports
  • Participate in Behavior Management Committee – CTF ensures all plans are reviewed and approved by representatives of multiple disciplines as well as advocates who reside at CTF
  • Complete ongoing observations in CILA, CDS, and community settings to identify individual strengths and needs, skills, preferences, and any barriers to personal success – CTF hopes to create a comfortable and enriching environment for the people served
  • Deliver timely and accurate services and documentation including but not limited to: DHS 56U billable hours, assessments, BSPs, monthly updates, and correspondence with external caregivers and providers – CTF complies with organizational, regulatory, and accrediting agency standards to provide enriching, ethical, and life-changing supports
  • Pursue professional staff development opportunities and ongoing continuing education to deliver best practices – CTF aims to provide innovative and evolving supports
  • Engage in hands-off crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation services as needed – CTF utilizes SafetyCare principles to provide individualized and least-restrictive reactive measures

 

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Valid certification as a behavior analyst from the BACB required
  • Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Basic user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,etc.), and/or other PC applications
  • Must have valid drivers license, reliable vehicle for use on company business, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record – position requires travel to multiple locations in the South Suburbs area
  • Subject to all required background checks
  • Comfortability leading trainings, modeling BSP protocols in-situ, providing beneficial feedback, advocating for people being supported, and recommending creative approaches to improve the lives of the individuals supported
  • Ability to adhere to professional and legal requirements and principles as well as demonstrating sound clinical judgment at all times

 

Additional Experience, Education and/or Training Preferred:

  • Specialized training and/or previous experience with adults diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Experience completing assessments to write, train, and implement BSPs
  • Experience collaborating with a team of interdisciplinary providers to provide well-rounded supports
  • Experience working in a CILA and/or CDS setting
  • DHS 56U provider approval

  • Pay Rate: $ 65,000- 70,000 annually
