We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us!The Payroll Director manages and oversees the national, multi-state payroll procedures, compliance, and operational execution of the payroll process. Administer regular payments to employees and manage the teams involved in the preparation of payroll. Responsible for vendor management, tax and reporting compliance, and operational execution. This role also leads other compliance programs, such as Unemployment.
Lead payroll and time & attendance operations to provide accurate and efficient payroll services to our employees, playing a key role in payroll modernization to standardize, streamline, consolidate and automate our payroll processes.
Partner closely with various collaborators (finance, compensation and benefits, HR, legal, IT) to ensure payroll is processed securely and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Lead vendor relationships for services /outsourcing, holding vendors
accountable for results.
Keep up to date on tax and labor laws compliance requirements and ensure compliance across the function including working closely with the security team to drive confidence that data is secured in transit and at rest.
Ensure accuracy of financial information; compliance with organization policies and procedures. Responsible for both internal and external payroll reporting and reporting compliance.
Providing technical subject matter expertise by engaging with the key client stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify setup requirements and manage the successful implementation of vendor systems and services.
Lead, coach, and inspire the teams. Ensure that the teams are engaged in their work and supported in their professional development.
Measure and supervise the effectiveness of payroll services.
Leads operation of other compliance programs, such as Unemployment. This includes vendor management, claims management, reporting, taxation, new site set up, and invoicing / cost management.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required Degree: Bachelors Degree in HR or Related field
Certificate(s):
Payroll related training or certificates preferred
Workday related certificates preferred
Experience:
Minimum 7 years payroll experience.
Experience being a partner with 3rd party vendors and agreeing on contracts with vendors.
Experience with reporting, including report writing preferred.
Previous experience in HR or a share service model is preferred.
Multi-state and national experience required.
Must have experience with Workday.

Highly skilled in in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
The majority of time is spent in an office setting. The position requires occasional handling of lightweight materials and physical ability to use the telephone, computer and keyboard, printer and other office equipment.
