Job Description
Process Engineer wanted in Belvidere, Illinois to understand customer requirements to support product launch by developing standards and focusing on product quality; Develop core tool documents including process flow diagrams, PFMEA and lead projects for continuous improvement; Comprehend the complexity of customer parts to design and develop tools for ease of manufacturing and assembly; Work with RAPID programming to create, modify programs for product and process changes during its life cycle; Collaborate with shop floor team to train operators, understand process feasibility to design and develop tools and fixtures; Setup manufacturing execution system and integrate assembly tasks with PLC for efficient process control and tracking; Analyze processes to create layout for optimized work flow and identify tasks to balance the line for production; Work with automation and integration systems including area scanners, inductive sensors, infrared technology, LASER; work with design and development team to understand product design; develop new automotive components; test and validate production equipment and suppliers; build production fixtures; work on shop floor modification; document process flow diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans and Work instructions.
