Job Description
The Systems Engineer Senior IT is responsible for constructing detail design based on architectural guidance. This position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert and performing activities required for the support of secured IT infrastructure. You would be contributing to 24×7×365 staff coverage.
Responsibilities
+ Performs daily database and application support which includes the following tasks: Contributing to 24×7×365 staff coverage.
+ Assists with all duties related to on-going operational database infrastructure on premise and in the cloud.
+ Creates and maintains database objects.
+ Monitors, troubleshoots and resolves failed tasks or database issues.
+ Creates databases, database clusters, assign permissions and resolve connectivity issues.
+ Assists IT management in prioritizing database administration team projects.
+ Monitors database storage allocation and usage daily as well as other resource usage.
+ Assists with backup standards and schedules, and recovery procedures
+ Provides performance turning related to database technology and database/server configuration.
+ Participates in Technical discussion related database and cloud technologies with teammates.
+ Implement changes into production environment following change control processes
+ Conduct technical design and reviews based on architectural guidance
+ Refresh Non production Database from Production database using various technologies.
+ Proactively manage availability and scalability
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
+ Experience with specific domain relevant to team
+ 5 years of experience with infrastructure technologies
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

+ Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and independently
+ Capable and willing to receive work direction from direct and indirect leadership
+ Ability to transition abstract concepts into technical deployment designs

+ Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
+ Strong traits of decisiveness and judgment

+ Patching Database and Application by following Change Management Guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
+ SQL, Python AWS
+ DB2, Shell Scripting, AIX, IBM DSM
+ Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
+ Understanding of security implications of domain
+ ITIL Foundations Certification
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
+ Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and shifts outside of Prime’s core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
+ Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
+ Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
+ Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
+ Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
+ Reports to a Manager in the IT department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $87,200.00 – $139,400.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
