Job Summary:
Red Wing Shoe Company is seeking a Retail Store Merchandising Rep to join our Wholesale Department. This role is responsible for optimizing sales in RWSS by partnering with stores and Demand Planning to ensure the right inventory is in the right stores at the right time. This position is also responsible for introducing new products into RWSS, and training store personnel about the features and benefits to ensure they are equipped to assist consumers in finding the right footwear the right job.
Essential duties include:
Assist stores with regional product selection, identifying product families and styles that will best meet customer and consumer needs in their region
Build trusted relationships, in both company owned and dealership stores, to enable successful adoption of new product introductions and ultimately drive revenue expansion
Provide insights on the needs of the RWSS business to the stores, sales, and product creation teams, in support of retail, wholesale and industrial strategies
Work cross functionally to deploy and enable adoption of processes, tools, and training in support of retail and wholesale strategies.
Achieve financial objectives by partnering with stores and Demand Planning to accurately forecast product mix and inventory requirements.
Identify inventory levels for RWS dealership agreements in partnership with regional operations manager.
Effective assortment analysis through assessment of inventory levels and proper adjustments.
Understanding of product knowledge and the ability to train store personnel on features and benefits of product.
Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Associate's degree with a minimum of three years related experience/training in a related field of study or sales organization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in retail and/or wholesale sales is preferred. Direct experience with footwear sales is preferred.
Qualified candidates must display a result oriented and performance driven attitude to achieve organization, business unit, and individual goals;Customer focused with proven skill in identifying solutions that fit customer needs; General business acumen, financial aptitude and an analytical mindset for solving problems, forecasting, expense management, and profitability and loss;Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, including the ability to effectively work with and communicate with multi-functional groups both within and outside the company to drive strategic objectives; Effective communication skills including presentation, written, and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences; Demonstrate a strong understanding of how retailers make buying decisions, market trends, competitor analysis and product opportunities to grow the golf wholesale grow store revenue; Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
Work Environment:
This position is classified as a remote role in an office environment but must live within assigned region they are covering. This role will be responsible for supporting the Chicagoland area and surrounding markets. The chosen candidate must live or be relocatable to the Chicagoland area or near a major hub in Chicago, IL.Regular business travel to the Retail stores assigned, including attending Sales meetings and events.Additional Information
