Job Description
The Public Relations Lead Specialist will help deliver innovative external communications strategies that help build and protect the firm’s brand and reputation, position the firm as a leader in the marketplace, ensure consistent messaging, and position Deloitte executives as thought leaders whose commentary enhances the Deloitte brand.
In this role, there will be the opportunity to support firmwide initiatives with an emphasis on Purpose, which includes elements such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Sustainability and Climate Change, and Education and Workforce Development.
The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and proactive practitioner who has an execution-oriented mindset and can work at both strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value communications results.
What you will do:
The Public Relations Lead Specialist will work closely with managers and team leadership, to help plan and execute external programs.
+ Help drive external eminence for Deloitte through proactively pitching stories positioning the firm, senior leadership, and other industry leaders as thought leaders on specific topics, including but not limited to, purpose-driven business models, workforce development, gender, and racial equity.
+ Ideate and develop relevant social content for senior business audiences.
+ Enhance and maintain relationships with key media contacts to help promote Deloitte’s activities, services, and accomplishments. Help coach and prepare spokespeople to represent Deloitte in a positive manner.
+ Employ strong project management skills and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high-quality results
+ Help manage external PR agency resources.

Qualifications
Required:
+ Communications professional with a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience
+ A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing Communications, is required
+ In this role, some prior knowledge of, or interest in, the evolving media landscape related to equity, sustainability, trust, and ethics will be preferred.
+ Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (technical subject matter specialists to business owners), with ability to present complex information in easily understandable format and tailored to audience.
+ Writing experience in either an external communications, public relations, or marketing environment
+ Superior Microsoft Office Skills such as PowerPoint and Word
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,400-$165,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
