The Director, Technology Solutions devises an effective strategy for executing and delivering on IT business initiatives. The Director, Technology Solutions requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Corporate Services Technology, the Director will be accountable for technology strategy and IT solutions delivery for Humana’s Chief Administrative Office and Human Resources (CAO/HR) organization.

The Director will collaborate with leaders from across IT, along with other corporate business areas, to drive technology solutions that enable Humana’s people and workplace strategies. The Director requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the CAO/HR segment, overall Corporate Services Technology portfolio, and the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes. The Director implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. In this role, the Director will:

+ Lead technology strategy and execution for the CAO/HR portfolio including 75+ applications and core platforms

+ Manage a large delivery team and create a culture of high performance and engagement through goal setting, talent development, coaching, and feedback

+ Oversee the enterprise-level strategic investment and modernization roadmap for CAO/HR technology portfolio with a focus on associate experience

+ Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders across IT and the enterprise

+ Enable journey-based interactions for candidates, contractors, associates, alumni, visitors, and other stakeholders

+ Partner closely with product owners and product managers, strategy teams, enterprise security team, along with portfolio leadership, and supporting IT development partners for building the strategy and executing on the roadmap

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

+ 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in software delivery and/or technology transformation roles

+ Demonstrated success and experience in planning and implementation of high-visibility software development projects and teams

+ Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

+ Experience with Agile methodology and driving Agile transformation

+ Must be passionate about embracing new ways of working and contributing to an organization focused on driving better customer experiences and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

+ Master’s degree in computer science or related IT field/MBA

+ Experience leading digital/mobile development teams and initiatives

+ Experience leading an end-to-end implementation of large, enterprise-wide initiatives, including SaaS implementations

+ Product management experience

+ Healthcare, financial services, or insurance industry experience a plus

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

+ At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

+ Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

+ Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
