Behavioral Registered Technician Do you have experience working with individuals with developmental behavior challenges? Bring your commitment and clinical know-how to a team-based workplace that puts people first.

+ Ensure that individuals’ treatment plans are consistently implemented by following the treatment plan goals and interventions, building and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with those served, utilizing sound judgment, and seeking out appropriate consultation.

+ Collaborate with family and treatment team members; educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention information when requested.

+ Utilize appropriate interactional style and maintain dignity and respect towards those served.

+ Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.

+ Fade prompts appropriately to promote successful independent responding.

+ Increase the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers.

+ Review participant progress objectively using behavior analytic methods, identify solutions to barriers, and make recommendations to the supervisor and behavior analyst when needed.

+ Accurately collect behavioral data as defined in the RBT program as needed.

+ Complete all clinical and residential documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Review daily updates such as new programs, access level changes, scheduled sessions, etc.

+ Ensure proper implementation and retraining as needed by routinely communicating with staff.

+ Schedule and prepare for leisure activities to keep participants engaged and active when therapy sessions are not taking place.

+ Participate in training and refreshers from clinical staff on the implementation of program updates to ensure that rehabilitative objectives are achieved.

+ Attend clinical meetings such as access review meetings, clinical team meetings, progress conferences, etc. as assigned.

+ Provide up-to-date residential status of participants and identify problem areas affecting the participant; implement solutions as recommended by the clinical team.

+ Understand and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with relevant external regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ RBT Credential or desire to work toward obtaining the RBT Credential with guidance provided, and the ability to complete that training and board exam within 30 days from hiring date.

+ Two years of completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related field preferred.

+ Two years of experience working with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury or other individuals with developmental behavior challenges who engage in severe problem behaviors preferred.

+ Current CPR/First Aid certification as required by state.

+ Current driver’s license in good standing, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation for individual receiving services.

+ Professional, with the ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment and discretion.

+ Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.

+ A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance.
