Description:
As a degreed design engineer, our candidate can expect to working on either battery energy storage or Utility Scale Solar Projects (10MW and up). They will align them to projects that best match up with previous project experience. The goal of this group is to take conceptual designs and take them through a detailed design and engineering phase to provide engineering blue prints capable to be used for construction. These projects are going to be mostly solar but could involve wind or other renewable energy projects.
An average day could look like:
-Collaborate closely with project team. Understand what led to conceptual designs and how to incorporate that into next phase with detailed design.
-Support challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble shooting and problem solving for a variety of challenges related to renewable energy facilities and the integration of those facilities back into the grid.
-May be required to travel to client sites from time to time less than 20% (perform walk down to understand project better, take pictures, scope out detailed design/ engineering
- Project Design for electrical components of renewable projects (solar, interconnection, wind, battery storage)
- Work with other design engineers as part of team
- UPdate project team on design status
-communicate updates to client when needed.
- perform designs in PVsyst/ PVcase software
