CNC OPERATOR
$14-$20/hr — Morton, IL
Job Description
+ Operating a CNC Lathe
+ Interpret work orders, candidate will punch in for each job and is tagged to each step in the process
+ Bend up and down into large tubs to select parts to machine and again when parts are finished
+ Mechanically inclined
+ Will learn to make their own adjustments to parts
+ Grind parts to smooth down flare after machining
+ Check quality of parts between cycles
+ Basic mechanical reasoning test to take during interview
+ They want candidates to take initiative, hustle, and keep up with training
Job Qualifications:
+ Quality Tools
+ Micrometers/calipers Blueprints
+ Nice to have manufacturing/production experience
+ Nice to have 6months – 1 year of machine operating but doesn’t need to have this
Work Environment/Shift:
+ Person needs to be able to work 12hour days and weekends
+ 1st shift hours 6 – 2:30 or 3pm (could start at 4 or 5 am when they are busy
+ 2nd shift- 4 11-12 hour shifts 2:30/3pm- 2:30-3am
+ Mon- Thurs possible 5 OT shift Friday if needed 2:30pm- 7:30pm
+ Right now, working 4 days
+ Everyone must be able to work OT as QMP works a good deal of OT especially when they get busy (56+ hour weeks)
