We have an immediate need for a New Product Introduction Operations Lead at our aerospace location in Rockford ILL . The primary focus of this position is to function as the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the " Produce to Deliver " phase of programs, driving actions and setting priorities for the team in order to meet customer delivery milestones.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Create and manage the Industrial Plan for development programs. This includes tracking schedules and progress for vendors and internal plant sites to ensure flawless on-time delivery of initial production units
+ Identify supply chain and operations risks and drive risk mitigation plans.
+ Perform professional or management work regularly across multiple manufacturing disciplines
+ Help drive industrial recoveries as needed in the supply chain, including but not limited to finding alternate sources, driving rate readiness reviews with critical suppliers, etc
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
+ 3 years of Aerospace Operations/ Manufacturing experience is preferred
+ Excellent oral & written communication skills with the ability to work and interact at all levels of an organization.
+ Demonstrated leadership ability.
+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
+ Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
+ Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
+ Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
+ Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
+ Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
+ Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
