Key Responsibilities:

If you like to work in a high pace challenging environment and love to solve complex problems then join a dynamic, hardworking, and innovative team in one of United Airline’s Operations Strategy groups. As a Senior Analyst, you will lead a portfolio of work around aircraft maintenance decision modeling, analytics, reporting and data management. As a fleet portfolio owner, you will lead projects from conception to completion: assess internal and external capacity environment, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, and develop and present recommendations to senior management. You will coordinate and own the effort to optimize and plan aircraft maintenance visits to accommodate special modification projects, maintenance checks, and other factors like paint, gear changes etc. Moreover, you will conduct impact analyses, cost-benefit analysis, assess change readiness and identify/engage key stakeholders for short term to long term aircraft maintenance strategy.

+ Build, maintain, and implement long term airframe maintenance plans

+ Apply business insight in planning to understand total cost of ownership, risks, and opportunities

+ Data mining, aircraft maintenance visit scenario forecasting and modeling including building and maintaining models to minimize cost and increase aircraft utilization

+ Performance tracking on key metrics to build a feedback loop for continuous improvement

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, or related field

+ Two years experience in using data analysis and quantitative modeling techniques (e.g. statistical, optimization, simulation, spreadsheet)

+ One year experience in planning or strategy role

+ Able to think creatively and strategically with an aptitude for analysis and problem solving

+ Proficient at recognizing and prioritizing opportunities as well as leading multiple meaningful deadlines

+ Advanced Excel

+ Strong oral and written communication skills, with a passion for delivering results

+ Operate within a team environment, across departments and with all levels of management

+ Data mining, aircraft maintenance visit scenario forecasting and modelling

+ Build and maintain models to minimize cost and increase aircraft utilization

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

+ MBA or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics

+ Experience in Airline planning and analysis functions

+ Data Visualization (Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)

+ Basic SQL or other programming language

+ Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certification
