The SBA Business Development Officer is responsible for sourcing SBA loan volume in a defined geographic area. Loan volume will be sourced from areas within Old National Bank (primarily Commercial Banking Relationship Managers) and centers of influence that are traditional sources of SBA loan referrals (primarily business and commercial real estate brokers, CPAs, and attorneys). The position requires proven business development and networking skills and a thorough knowledge of commercial credit and SBA program policies.

Key Accountabilities
Achieve Sales Targets

Source $10mm+ in annual SBA loan volume with proper pricing and credit characteristics that fit within Old National Bank's guidelines.

Partner Communication and Delivery
Develop a reputation as the SBA program expert within internal and external referral network.
Act with urgency when sourcing and working on SBA loan transactions and consistently communicate with transparency to all parties involved in a transaction.
Maintain lines of communications with RMs including new product developments, pipeline and calling strategies.
Partner with RMs to provide recommendations on sales opportunities to include sales to new prospects and existing clients.

Additional Competencies
Business development skills that result in sourcing a sufficient volume of SBA loan transactions.
Self-starter with a proven ability to work within a defined geographic territory while being managed remotely.
Act with integrity at the highest level in all interactions with referral sources and internal partners.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
10+ years commercial banking experience or equivalent experience in the financial services industry
5+ years SBA business development experience
4-year college degree
