at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Job Description

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization that provides insight - and influences the public discourse - on critical global issues. We convene leading Global voices, conduct independent research and engage the public to explore ideas that will shape our global future. The Council is committed to bringing clarity and offering solutions to issues that transcend borders and transform how people, business, and governments engage the world.

The Council offers undergraduate juniors and seniors, and graduate students the opportunity to learn about our organization and participate in a variety of duties associated with ongoing projects through our internship program.

All internships are unpaid and a mix between fully virtual and hybrid. Please note these are subject to change each semester.

Intern Qualifications
Students must be currently enrolled undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students, have an academic major or demonstrated interest in international affairs, possess excellent research, writing, interpersonal and verbal communications skills, and possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office. International students are welcome to apply; however, all selected international applicants will need to obtain valid work authorization on their own behalf.

Interns are asked to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week. While internships are unpaid, interns receive a complementary, one-year membership with the Council.
