Job Description
Actalent is hiring a Lab Technician for chemical manufacturing company in the Alsip, IL area.
Description:
Lab technician operating on second shift (3:30pm – 12am) M-F (some occasional Saturdays)
will mainly be doing hands on bench work, wet chemistry (pH, viscosity, density, specific gravity, etc.)
will also be using and trained on HPLC and Malvern spectrometer
Day to day
- Check calibrations on testing equipment
- come in and check product shelf for products needing to be tested, and run appropriate tests
- go over emails from Brittany (lab manager) to see what checklist items are needed for the day and what products need to be retested
- continue running tests on products for the day
- clean lab area
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BS degree in science is preferred (would entertain associates or non-degreed)
Need to have some lab experience specifically wet chemistry/bench experience
any instrumentation experience is a plus (mainly Hplc)
Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays
