Elementary K-5th Grade School Social Worker:

Position Overview:
We have a full-time School Social Worker opening for the 23-24 school year in Burbank, IL! This K-5th grade focused position will be supporting students with their social-emotional learning needs. There is a MTSS team and Crisis team already at the district who would be available for support as needed.
Days: Monday-Friday
Caseload: 30 students maximum
Diverse caseload: Latino 45%, Caucasian mix 50%, 5% Black

Job Responsibilities:
+ Provide intervention and casework support (whole group, small group, 1:1) to students in the K-5th grade population
+ Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success
+ Advocate for the wellbeing of students (social/emotional/academic)
+ Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs
+ Create and maintain interventions in order to understand effectiveness of behavior support plans
+ Support students with IEPs
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Master’s (MSW) degree in Social Work
+ LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
+ Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred
