Position Overview: We have a full-time School Counselor opening with our wonderful school partners- Cook County School District 130! This School Counselor will act as a resource to General Education students and will occasionally provide push in SEL services. Responsibilities:

+ Provide support (whole group, small group, 1:1) to students

+ Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success of students

+ Advocate for the wellbeing of students (social/emotional/academic)

+ Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs

+ Provide push in SEL services as needed

+ Participate in IEP and 504 meetings

+ Create and maintain interventions in order to understand effectiveness of behavior support plans

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Master’s Degree in School Counseling

+ Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred

+ Valid Professional Educators License (PEL)
