What you will be doing…
+ Handling cost accounting and financial integration assignments overall.
+ Lead month-end close process and help with fixed assets, sales and use tax, reconciliations and reporting.
+ Manage inventory adjustments, reconciliations, monthly analytics and the annual full physical (between multiple sites: Gilberts, and Chicago)
+ Ownership of all aspects of fixed asset management. This includes asset additions, retirement, transfers, and CIP. Maintain asset register, depreciation and amortization schedules and book applicable journal entries
+ Responsible for major plant projects ensuring appropriate policies associated with capital and expense are adhered to and are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
+ Assist with development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
+ Complete accounting integration tasks as required to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and followed
+ Participate in annual internal audit
+ Manage credit card spend, book transactions and ensure compliance with published document retention policies
+ Process sales and use tax returns through Avalara and record tax payments in ERP
+ Prepare standardized plant reports on production and key performance indicators
+ Back up AP/AR functions
+ Manage both domestic and international inbound freight expense
+ Balance sheet reconciliations preparation and review
+ Mentor and assist in developing junior staff
What we are looking for…
+ Bachelors Degree
+ 4 years of accounting experience (Manufacturing/Distributions)
+ Strong Excel skills (be able to complete equations within excel along with pivot tables and v-looks ups) Excel is heavily utilized within the role
+ Avalara, OneStream, NetSuite a plus
+ Experience working for an organization where they reported to a larger group
