Job Description
Responsible for providing technical expertise and support to client, IT management and staff in risk assessments. Participates in the evaluation, development, implementation, communication, monitoring and maintenance of information technology security policies and procedures. Helps establish and communicate common goal and direction for a team. Acts as a resource for direction, training and guidance for staff. 1. Provides technical expertise and support to client, IT management and staff in risk assessments. Recommends system modifications to reduce user problems 2. Identifies, evaluates, conducts, schedules and leads technical analyses functions to ensure all applicable IS security requirements are met 3. Participates in the evaluation, development, implementation, communication, monitoring and maintenance of information technology security policies and procedures 4. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication 5. Keeps abreast on the direction of emerging industry standards 6. Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise 7. Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities 8. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues 9. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and technical experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Highly flexible and adaptable to change Is a technical expert with in-depth knowledge in area of expertise and in-depth knowledge of other areas as well Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with client, IT management and staff, vendors and consultants Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.
