Direct Hire, Creative Project Manager/Label Production Manager
Overseeing team of 5 and must have regulatory experience
Hybrid work schedule, 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH- NO FLEX!

Large CPG client located in the Chicago land area is seeking a Creative Project Manager specific to packaging and label production with an added component of being the team manager, to join their in-house creative team. Our client's creative department is a well-oiled machine and they produce all kinds of regulated DIY products. This role is unique in that this person will hold a dual role:
Project Management Component: Job order intake, enter needs into Basecamp, setting up schedule and guide life cycle of complete package and/or label. Front labels/panels will be produced by an Art Director with remaining panels being completed by label/package artists where much of the regulatory data is showcased. Regulation experience required as professionals in this position are familiar with legal and regulation review requirements.
Management: Managing a team of 5 in-house professionals
Responsibilities:
Owns project management of individual creative projects (projects can range from 80-100 projects in various stages) from start to finish, ensuring assignments move seamlessly to meet on-time delivery
Develop schedules, workflows, training, and quality standards, recommending solutions based on an understanding of marketing production processes and the unique industry knowledge you gain over time.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, utilizing an understanding of all facets of label development - art development and versioning, proofreading, translations, regulatory and legal oversight, approval turnarounds, prepress proofing and print production, and manufacturing plant label requirements, to develop and maintain efficient project schedules.
Use best-practice tools to oversee a high volume of projects at varying speeds and stages, and always - constantly - staying in communication with the cross-functional team.
Manage various translation projects for products sold in various countries
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field
3-5 years working in a regulatory environment as a creative project manager or experience working in advertising agency
3+ years' people management experience
Experience managing packaging or labels is a plus!
Preferred experience working in Basecamp with a general understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud programs
Problem-solver with ability to juggle multiple projects
