Part-Time Veterinarian

Essential Job Functions
Supervises and coordinates student animal care schedules, if needed.
Is available for weekend and holiday grading and supervision of animal care, on call in case of emergencies.
Diagnose, create treatment plan and provide treatment to animals as needed.
Transportation of animals to Veterinary Hospital if needed.
Works as liaison between appropriate agencies in the community.
Communicates with Program Director regarding emergency care of animals.
Submits written report as needed to document emergency care.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and experience working in a progressive veterinary team, which includes one or more veterinarians, and one or more certified veterinary technicians, and leadership skills are helpful.
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited program and 3 years of private practice experience where graduate veterinary technicians were utilized, licensed as a veterinarian in Illinois, or eligible for licensure within six months of employment.
Knowledge of diversified work experience including work with live animals in a variety of species within the last three years.
