Nokia Standards targets collaboration with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape as well as to protect Nokia's intellectual property. We are looking for ambitious and highly engaged colleagues as part of the Standardization & Industry Environment Team.
What you will learn and contribute to
We are looking for highly motivated and skilled persons with competence in 5G the physical layer to work with 3GPP 5G-Advanced radio standardization and related research activities for 5G-Advanced and 6G
Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:
Contribute with your 5G physical layer skills to the development of future 5G-Advanced and 6G radio technology
Work with a world-class team to drive the evolution of 5G-Advanced and 6G radio technology
Develop radio standardization specifications in the area of the 5G-Advanced physical layer, and eventually 6G
Create inventions and intellectual property (IPRs) and support the strengthening of Nokia's IPR portfolio
Contribute to and participate in 3GPP standardization meetings for 3GPP RAN WG1
Contribute to and participate in customer and partner dialogues on the latest trends in wireless technology and standardization
Your skills and experience
You have:
MSc degree or Ph.D. with strong knowledge of the 5G physical layer and an understanding of how the 5G system works
Experienced in 3GPP standardization or working with 3GPP radio specifications
Willingness to grow as a physical layer radio expert for 5G-Advanced and 6G areas
Fluent spoken English and proficiency in technical writing are essential
It would be nice if you also had:
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a multi-national and distributed team, as well as solid self-motivation
Experience with link and/or system-level simulations
A track record of innovation

Additional Information
United States Salary Range: $133,000 - $247,000 USD plus eligibility for incentive/variable pay.
