Computer Science Part-Time Faculty
Hiring for the Fall 2023 Semester

Computer Sciences part-time faculty may teach in a variety of areas in computer science and digital arts including programming languages, digital media and game content creation, and network administration.
Part-Time Faculty teach part-time, advise and mentor students. Hiring needs are dependent on student enrollment and course schedules. Courses available may be during days, evenings, weekends or online. Salary is dependent on qualifications.

Essential Job Functions
Teach in one or more areas in computer science and digital arts including:
Programming languages-C++, Java, Web Programming, etc.
Digital media and game content creating-3D computer animation Autodesk Maya, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, After Affects, etc.
Network administration-Cisco, Wireless, Linux, Microsoft Server
Performs professional duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the college.
Provides classroom instruction in accordance with the stated philosophy, objectives, and established course outlines of the college.
Informs students of course regulations, evaluation procedures, and other information pertinent to the course; prepares a course syllabus for each course and distributes it early in each term.
Is available for student advising/mentoring.
Maintains regular office hours to ensure availability for student consultation; provides assistance to students in a timely manner.
Maintains accurate scholastic records of students; submits required reports on student progress according to published deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned by the department chair.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Requirements
Programming-Master's degree in related field.
Digital Media-Master's degree in 3D animation or related field; OR related field experience.
Network Administration-Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field and industry management experience; OR Associate's degree in IT Administration with three (3) years related field experience.
Must successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.
Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
