Job Summary:

This position will provide operational support for maternal and child health initiatives and programs, including West Side Healthy Parents & Babies, a West Side United initiative led by Lurie Children's. West Side United is a collaboration of hospitals and community-based organizations focused on reducing the life expectancy gap on the west side. The Program Coordinator will also represent Lurie Children's and West Side United to community partners and other external organizations. This position provides support to ensure success of Patrick M. Magoon Institute for Healthy Communities' annual goals and Lurie Children's community health strategy and organizational mission.

Department Description: The Patrick M. Magoon Institute for Healthy Communities serves as the hub for all community-focused initiatives at Lurie Children's. The Magoon Institute is responsible for aligning the Medical Center's clinical, research, education and advocacy expertise with community engagement, while supporting people, programs and partnerships that advance community health and health equity. This team provides engagement opportunities for employees, physicians and trainees and leads the development and execution of Lurie Children's Community Health Needs Assessment and Implementation Strategy. The Magoon Institute partners with clinical, public health and community outreach leaders and experts across the Medical Center to work towards the goal of advancing health equity and racial justice, and improving health and wellness for infants, children, adolescents and their families across Chicago.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide operational support for maternal and child health initiatives and programs, including meeting planning and coordination, maintenance of all project materials and tracking project activities ensuring on time project deliverables within scope and budget.
Facilitate collection, tracking and reporting of data and other project activities in a timely manner to demonstrate impact for internal reporting, grant applications, stewardship reports and other related requests.
Support development of written output, including new grant proposals, program reporting, social media content and marketing materials.
Provide project coordination and administrative support for West Side United's Care Coordination Committee.
Assist with development and implementation of a comprehensive communications, marketing and social media strategy. Develops and delivers key presentations related to the maternal and child health initiatives and programming.
Facilitate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams assigned to various projects; supports project priority identification and goal setting.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Other job functions as assigned by Lurie Children's Hospital and West Side United.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in public health, psychology, business, health-related sciences or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the duties of the job.
Minimum of two years' experience in program coordination, grants administration, project management or other related field.
Strong organizational skills, including management of time and processes.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Travel to different locations, neighborhoods, and communities throughout Chicago required.
Ability to take initiative, work independently and be self-directed.
Ability to collaborate with individuals from different backgrounds and disciplines.
