Dewberry is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant I to support the Architectural Engineering Departments in our Peoria, IL office. Typical assignments are diverse and require strong communication and collaboration skills. This position will provide the opportunity to support our Peoria team in scheduling and manageing office vistors including clients, presenters, vendors, consultants, as well as visiting Dewberry staff. General administrative responsibilities will include utilizing company systems in ordering office supplies, coordinating vendor meetings and lunches, electronic filing, proofreading, project document support, as well as overall office administration. Position may occasionally require providing virtual support of the same responsibilities to other offices and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

 

Administrative Responsibilities:
Meeting and event coordination (schedule food and beverage services, set up virtual meetings, send reminders, greet guests on arrival)
Ordering office and break-room supplies
Handle sensitive information with complete discretion
File and archive both electronic and hard copy project-related documents
Manage incoming mail, assist with the packaging and coordination of mailing letters, managing UPS, FedEx and shipping needs
Other administrative duties as required. 

 


Required Skills & Required Experience

 

High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 2 years clerical experience
Experience working with Engineering or Architectural firm a plus
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat required
Must be service oriented and flexible with a “can do" attitude
Must be able to organize and prioritize workload as needed to meet schedules
