Position Highlights:
Position: Pharmacy Technician -Kellogg Cancer Care Center Infusion Center
Location: Rotating across Kellogg Cancer Center (Evanston, Glenview andHighland Park )
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: varies 0700-1800
Required Travel: Yes, between sites, based on rotating schedule
What you will need:
License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of hire
Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. If candidate does not have prior compounding and/or hospital experience, then we are willing to provide on the job training to an individual who is motivated to learn aseptic compounding skills and is a quick learner looking for a new challenge.

What you will do:
Prepare sterile compounded products for IV fusion (such as bags, syringes, pumps) in accordance with sterile clean room regulations.
Ensure there is adequate inventory of supplies and medications available as needed for patient care.
Assist pharmacists in maintaining medications records and files as needed
Place medication and supply orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels
Other duties as assigned
