The Opportunity:

The Global Marketing Director leads the establishment of the marketing vision and annual objectives, goals, strategies, and key initiatives for the marketing organization. Manages a team of high-performing individuals and managers, provides informal and formal coaching in alignment with organizational objectives. The role is responsible for global long-and-short term strategic planning and execution of programs across consumer & healthcare professional channels, to deliver on goals & P&L commitments of the business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

+ Lead a team in development of global marketing strategy, value propositions, and marketing initiatives for one or more lines of business

+ Identifies growth opportunities and prioritizes and develops business cases to fund R&D and support Business Development initiatives including M&A activity

+ Develop a high-performing strategic marketing organization, including hiring and developing high performing talent, own succession, and succession at each key management layer or position

+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives, including but not limited to global, regional, and local markets across field sales force, technology, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, public affairs, executive management, creative department, vendors, and health care professionals.

+ Lead long (3-5yr) and short (annual) term strategic planning, including analysis, recommendation, and presentation of proposed strategies to senior leadership

+ Be the voice of the customer within the organization and lead market research & intelligence efforts to inform strategy and tactical choices from the market & customer need across key global markets

+ Execute on translating insights and analysis into winning value prop and revenue / influencer / able to align entire organization to embody and deliver the value prop in every aspect

+ Lead the global pricing strategies, tools, and insights for development opportunities for margin enhancement

+ Lead a team in development of global marketing strategy, value propositions, and marketing initiatives for one or more lines of business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

+ Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive responsibility in a combination of healthcare, diagnostics, brand management; consumer-packaged goods and/or healthcare marketing

+ Strong thought leadership, written, and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact directly with executive leadership to drive strategy and investment decisions

+ Strong marketer with strategic marketing acumen to assess various market needs

+ Experience in leading upstream and/or downstream marketing function in previous roles

+ Expertise in insight-based strategic marketing communications development

+ Deep understanding of both US and international markets

+ Demonstrated ability to lead, develop teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

+ Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business & marketing plans

+ Familiarity with primary and secondary market research and data analysis

+ Experience and proficiency with P&L / budget management

+ BS/BA in Marketing or related field
