Title: Prospect Research Analyst

Reports to: Director, Salesforce Products and Program Data Type: Full-Time/Exempt Location: Remote in any of the following established buildOn regions Oakland, CA; Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI This position is not remote in NYC (hybrid) or Stamford, CT (hybrid) Salary: $50k – $65k annually, commensurate with previous prospect research experience Anticipated Start Date: 7/1/2023 For Consideration: Provide your resume, a cover letter and provide responses to the application questions on our Careers page. buildOn seeks an experienced, driven, and passionate prospect research analyst that is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations at home and abroad. This person is truly excited about working with data and energized when gathering, summarizing, organizing, and disseminating large volumes of information related to prospective donors.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

+ Expert ability to analyze, curate and present complex biographic, financial, and philanthropic information about renewals and new prospects to front-line fundraisers.

+ Experienced with Wealth Mapping tools like Donor Search

+ Proficient and previously experienced with Salesforce or a similar CRM. Applicants should feel confident understanding CRM technology, making recommendations for technological updates, implementing systems, and performing basic database administrative functions.

+ Strong quantitative reasoning and presentation abilities.

+ Ability to qualify prospects using statistical methods and/or predictive modeling methods is not required but preferred.

+ Comfortable performing data cleanup, managing data integrity, and performing data entry.

+ Unwavering commitment to ensuring that information is accurate, complete, accessible and timely.

+ Must be able to work independently and contribute to a collaborative environment; and interact effectively with others to solicit information and prioritize work assignments.

What You’ll Do

+ The Prospect Research Analyst reports to the Director, Salesforce Products and Program Data and supports the identification, qualification, and research of major/planned gift prospects.

+ Gather, summarize, and disseminate large volumes of information from numerous sources, and makes recommendations for solicitation strategies to frontline fundraisers.

+ Organize prospect portfolios, update and clean prospect data, and make technological recommendations to the team for areas of operational improvement.

What You Bring

+ An earnest and sincere commitment to buildOn’s Mission and Core Values as well as the knowledge of the systemic issues that inhibit the growth of communities

+ A minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience in a similar prospect research or prospect analyst role

+ Technological acumen and quantitative reasoning abilities

+ Strong understanding and previous work experience using wealth mapping tools

+ Experience presenting data to a variety of audiences

+ Educational requirement minimum: Bachelor’s Degree
