Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Hospital Operator for our Hospital Operator department located at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This is a per diem position and is limited benefits eligible. Hours will be 8:30 am-5:00 pm, with rotating weekends and locations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Professionally answer and process incoming telephone calls timely and accurately
Respond and accurately process emergency notification requests including overhead announcements, pager notifications and escalation
Documentation of daily activities in shift reports
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Six months' experience as a telephone operator on a multi-function switchboard is preferred
Experience in a hospital or health care related setting preferred
