MINIMUM PAY RATE: $49,497.49 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
The TSMS AV Technician will setup, strike, and serve as AV technician for
campus events. Operator of camera, sound, lighting, and other presentation equipment. Technician will record, stream and video edit meetings, events and classes. Participates in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of computer equipment, displays, sound systems, classroom technology, and control systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Setup, strike, and serve as audio visual technician for campus events.
2.Operator of professional camcorders and PTZ remote cameras, digital and analog audio board, lighting, teleprompter and other presentation equipment.
3.Record, stream, and video edit meetings, events and classes.
4.Provide technical support, guidance and assist with the creation and organization of virtual meetings and hybrid live events.
5.Quality check (QC) equipment and organize TSMS inventory.
6.Prepare quotes and invoices for services and equipment provided by TSMS for external clients.
7.Ensure the functionality of audio, video, computer and multimedia technologies at all JJC locations.
8.Perform general office responsibilities, including phone, data entry and maintaining a clean environment.
9.Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Two (2) years of technical support experience (equivalent education and training to be considered).
2.High school diploma or equivalent.
3.Demonstrable Video and Audio editing experience.
4.Demonstrable AV Signal flow and best practices knowledge.
5.Strong writing and organizational skills for data entry.
6.Excellent communication and customer service skills.
7.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
8.Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation, and quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Recent experience with audio mixers and live sound.
2.CTS certification.
3.Control system (Exton) GUI interface certification.
4.Experience with stage lighting.
5.English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
6.Demonstrated multicultural competence.

WORK SCHEDULE
1.Regular shift is Monday through Friday.
2.Occasional nights and weekends with overtime compensation (beyond 40-hour week).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
2.Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and ladder use.
3.Campus is large and employees are expected to walk multiple miles within 8hr shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1.Most duties performed indoors; some exterior work may be required.
2.Some travel might be needed.
