Survey CAD Manager


Job Summary

The Surveyor CAD Manager is responsible for drafting topographic survey and subdivision plats as well as manage and update CAD standards under the supervision of a senior team member or Group Leader. The primary responsibilities include preparing and maintaining a variety of documents including plans, plats, deeds, and surveys. The Surveyor CAD Manager will provide guidelines and workflows to allow others and themselves to perform CAD work efficiently and portray data effectively. The Staff Surveyor will collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and others as appropriate for the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with other engineers and support staff during drafting preparation for conformance to standards and code requirements
Draft topographic survey and subdivision plats and prepare descriptions of areas surveyed
Prepare and maintain a variety of engineering documents including plans, plats, deeds, and surveys
Ensure that the company safety, quality, and technical policies and procedures are practiced during the execution of team projects
Make updates to CAD workflow processes so they address client standards
Other duties as assigned

Professional Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or other closely related field of study
1-6 years of experience working with civil or surveying related projects
Proficient in comprehending schematics and blueprints
Strong written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and other land development software to interpret and present information as well as to change styles and settings
Familiarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products such as Civil3D, MicroStation, and ProjectWise
Experience and exposure to LIDAR and UAV mapping
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
