Job Description
ALIGHT Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Cloud Network Engineer to provide network and security-based support in a multi-cloud environment.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud networking design involving multiple disciplines and collaborate with business units to provide consultation and support. provide solutions with a focus on network cloud best practices. This role will also investigate and support multiple business lines and teams using automation via terraform and ansible, APIs and scripting to enhance delivery, testing, and service restoration of cloud platforms and provide agility to the business
Responsibilities:
Create architectural diagrams for proposed solutions and defines the network cloud standards and services based on compute, data, or security requirements.
Develop network and service specific designs in support of existing and roadmap network capability.
Manage the appropriate network configuration required to deploy cloud services such as EC2, VPC, S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and security resource groups.
Utilize continuous integration and automation tools such as GIT, Ansible, PowerShell, Cloud Formation Templates, and Terraform for all network related services and software.
Provide level 3 support to operational teams to ensure Incident and Problem Management challenges and appropriately managed.
Assist application and architecture teams with proof-of-concept cloud services and implement the design in a lab environment.
Collaborate with the architecture team on cloud strategy.
Design, develop and implement moderate to highly complex solutions in a multi-tiered architecture
Work with business and project teams to devise technical alternatives
Support application and product teams projects and network specific changes
Partner with project team members and other stakeholders to solve problems and deliver effective results
Participate in design reviews with other members and groups within the department
Ability to evaluate existing cloud network architecture and develop action plans to make necessary improvements
Ability to configure, document, and deliver cloud-based network solutions within defined time & budget constraints
Qualifications:
3 years' hands-on experience in the Network Engineering space (on-prem or Cloud) in a large enterprise setting (15K+ Users)
3+ years' work experience designing, executing, and supporting network cloud services in a multi-cloud environment such as AWS (required) and Azure (preferred).
Proven experience in AWS network design, implementation, and topology diagrams.
Cloud network engineering in AWS at scale using Infrastructure as code.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred.
AWS Certified and Azure certifications preferred.
3+ Years of hands-on experience supporting an Enterprise global organization with a network focus
2+ Years of hands-on experience working with Enterprise grade Firewalls
2+ Years of experience with Azure Networking in a Hybrid setting
Expert in Network segmentation, VPNs, Firewalls, IP Routing, BGP, etc
Experience with troubleshooting tools like Wireshark or Fiddler
Demonstrated ability to identify areas of need for automation and aid in the engineering better operational solution
Knowledge of web services and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
