Position Summary
The Senior Director of FP&A - Commercial is responsible for partnering with Ansys commercial leaders providing end-to-end support for their global organization. This individual will drive strategies to maximize financial opportunities and design initiatives to mitigate risk and close any gaps. The successful candidate will be steeped in Ansys business and financial goals, becoming not only a support partner, but an integral part of the Commercial leadership team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead a growing team of FP&A professionals and align team members to work with respective functions within Ansys to prepare financial analysis, decision support analysis, financial modeling and provide ad-hoc analytical support
Partner with business leaders to ensure long-term strategic commitments are on track and provide recommendations that align with the Company's growth strategy
Identify and present opportunities by understanding our business and our goals, facilitated with expert financial data modeling and visualization
Provide essential reporting and actionable insights to financial and operational management, including creating complex financial models to aid in decision-making
Facilitate finance optimization efforts and drive continuous improvement of Ansys' planning and forecasting process
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the Commercial Leadership Team which includes analyzing financial results, synthesizing key trends, and identifying business insights
Navigate large amounts of data and information to obtain actionable insights
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to better inform the company's business leadership
Establish and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships with business leaders and individuals across the organization.

Education/Certification Requirements and Expected Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting for a related business area
A minimum of 15 years of experience in Finance with meaningful experience in FP&A management, with some portion in a publicly traded company
Experience leading the FPA partnership with Commercial, Go-To-Market and/or Sales functions
Strong communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholder groups, including senior and executive management
Proven ability to build, lead and support high performing teams, with an acute focus on business partnership and analytical skills
Proven track record of successful financial modeling and analysis across a broad range of financial and operational areas, remaining hands on with financial data, reporting and visualization
Experience in a global environment with deep understanding of foreign exchange impacts
Exceptional interpersonal, relationship building, analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
MBA or Master's Degree in related Finance or Business field preferred
Experience in software or high-tech industry strongly preferred
Experience with PowerBi and Salesforce is highly preferred
