Job Description
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is seeking individuals interested in becoming a full time Deputy Sheriff.
Candidates for all positions at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office must be United States citizens. All applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. No applicant may have a felony criminal history.
Applicants for the position of Deputy Sheriff must be at least 21 years of age at the time the application is received. Applicants for the position of Deputy Sheriff must be able to successfully complete a physical fitness ("POWER") test, written exam, oral interview, psychological assessment, and drug screen. Any candidate hired for the position of Probationary Deputy Sheriff must reside in Montgomery County by the end of a one year probationary period.
Additional attention will be given to current Law Enforcement Officers, Telecommunicators, military veterans, and those with higher education degrees.
