About the Team

The Recruitment and Enrollment Solutions (RES) team is made up of 16 dedicated professionals with a laser focus on the sales and support of College Board's market leading Search solutions. Through consultative sales and customer success management methodologies, we serve over 1,500 institutions each year, helping them to optimize their use of College Board Search to realize their desired outcomes and objectives. RES is responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy to promote the College Board's recruitment (Search) and Enrollment Management Products and Services.The RES team also engages with the leading enrollment consultant groups that work with our client institutions.

About the Opportunity

As the Director, Recruitment and Solutions (DRES), you are responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy within a defined territory to sell recruitment (Search) and Enrollment Management Products and Services. You shall bring experience in higher education enrollment management and top of the funnel recruitment strategies. You have knowledge of the enrollment issues faced by higher ed institutions today with a strong working knowledge of the College Board Programs that will meet the needs of those institutions. You also have direct experience using College Board Search and related solutions, competitors, and top of funnel strategies. As the DRES, you have defined sales objectives and revenue targets within designated states and/or regions. Your primary responsibilities include the development of detailed account planning and consultative sales strategies, and the management of communications with key decision-makers at targeted prospect institutions.

In this role, you will:

Search Subscription Model Consultative Sales 70%

  • Attain and surpass sales goals
  • Build effective relationships with institutional decision-makers and operational contacts at targeted colleges/universities
  • Manage and execute sales process from initial contact to close of sale.
  • Collaborate with adjacent areas (e.g., Marketing, Program, Strategic Higher Ed) to develop and execute a sales plan.
  • Provide ongoing and timely communications with manager and leadership
  • Maintain working knowledge of competing products and competitors

Cross-functional and Committee Team work 30%

  • Support RES Sales efforts by serving on one or more cross-functional teams
  • Bring 'voice of the customer' to working groups and planning activities
  • Represent RES in assigned committee work and related initiatives
  • Lead/serve RES committee structure as assigned
  • Contribute to content creation as assigned and appropriate based on subject matter expertise
  • Support development of, or actively participate in various RES presentations (internal and external)

About You

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in higher education admissions and enrollment
  • A strong working knowledge of College Board Search and Search related enrollment products
  • Understanding of the fit between product, marketing and sales strategies and their applications within Higher Education
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales situations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a sales strategy and to effectively close sales
  • Demonstrated technical skill and knowledge of current technology platforms and delivery models within Higher Education, including standard CRM and business software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizations and established customer relationships within the territory in Higher Education and ability to build new relationships with institutional decision makers and thought leaders.
  • Knowledge of marketing and business principles, as well as the higher education market
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver presentations and effectively facilitate meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with professionals in the education industry
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel 4-6 times a year

The salary offer of an individual candidate within this range is specific to their location and qualifications.
