POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Insight Manager will work closely with General Industrial leadership to support using data and insights to derive strategic direction and execution across a portfolio of projects. This role will focus on supporting strategic initiatives by utilizing data, research, and Voice of Customer insights to accelerate business growth. This role will also focus on visualizing data to drive clarity of results and impact of activity across all segments and regions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Monitor and Forecast Market & Segment Trends
*Provide frequent overview and analysis of major economic drivers and indicators for key segments, including detailed analysis of lagging indicators and estimated impact of leading indicators (in concert with PCG Marketing Research Org)
*Ongoing collection, management, and communication of macroeconomic indicators including but not limited to: GDP, Manufacturing Growth Rate, Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), New Home starts and remodels, commercial construction, and infrastructure investment, across major markets where we participate
*Regression modeling and trends analysis of external KPI data against internal sales to identify leading and lagging indicators
*Analysis of new or underrepresented opportunities (geographies, submarkets, parallel technologies, etc.) as needed; Prospective sales lead opportunity generation as needed
*Ongoing maintenance and optimization of market growth tracker with strategic, statistically sound synthesis of internal and external data sources into a cohesive model
*Project management of requests to investigate market size, CAGR, competitive landscape, etc., for new or underrepresented industrial segments.
*Ongoing competitive analysis by segment, synthesizing brand voice, estimated marketing investments, ad hoc field input, new product announcements, etc.
Internal Data Analysis
*Collect and synthesize data from systems including but not limited to Salesforce.com, Marketo, Google Analytics, Microstrategy, and Zilliant to create ongoing dashboard for leadership and proactively identify gaps, trends or opportunities
*Communicate the story out internal data is telling- spot customer and business trends in real time*
Competitive Benchmarking
*Analyze and communicate key industry updates, including but not limited to financial community calls, and publicly available financial reporting
*Provide insight on competitive action based on
Voice of Customer
*Support or Lead Voice of Customer sessions for select projects (Training available if needed)
Customer Satisfaction
*Support creation and maintenance of customer satisfaction survey activities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:

*4-year degree in business, marketing, finance or another related analytical field
