Stanley Consultants is currently looking for a Business Development Process Practice Lead in our Chicago, IL office.
The right candidate will have proven experience achieving sales and technical services with local and regional clients such as industrial, institutional campuses, or electric utilities.
Essential Duties:
Identify and develop new clients by establishing and maintaining relationships through regular client contacts and visits.
Prepare key client strategies for maintenance and growth of services.
Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, develop capture strategy, assemble pursuit teams, and take actions with clients to position for the pursuit. Maintain opportunities and sales pipeline with assigned key clients.
Achieve new and add-on business goals and serve as the client facing team leader.
Manage assigned business development resources including supervision of members assigned to proposal teams to meet established objectives.
Prepare and submit proposals and qualification statements.
Obtain approvals of resource commitments, proposed contracts, and fees for consulting engagements.
Participate in interviews and presentations.
Coordinate with appropriate Operations personnel to assemble project/task order teams and ensure all team members understand the project objectives.
Monitor weekly and monthly progress as appropriate to ensure client requirements are being met from a scope, quality, cost, and schedule perspective.
Maintaining and expanding new business, achieving a billable utilization target.
Periodically contact client program and project managers to assess their satisfaction.
Travel as required.
Perform other functions delegated by the Market, Business Unit, or Business Development Leader.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or specialty field from an accredited four-year college or university.
Professional Registration: Professional Engineering (PE) registration. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable but not mandatory.
Possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including a history of successful client management resulting in new and add-on business while leading a team of engineers.
