Job Description

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking candidates to provide Resident Project Representative (RPR) services for construction projects in ourIllinois Aviation Market. This position offers great benefits for someone who is looking for periodic project-based work.

Position Profile

This position will be responsible for observation and documentation of airport paving, drainage, utility, lighting, structural and site development during construction.

A Day in the Life of a Construction Observer at Hanson

Here's a snapshot of what you would do in this role:

Represent owner in monitoring construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications;
Perform onsite construction materials testing;
Coordinate and communicate field construction activities with contractor and designers.

What We're Looking For

We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of construction experience
Current driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the minimum qualifications above the following will result in a more competitive candidate:
Experience working in an airport environment;
Federal Aviation Administration project experience;
Department of Transportation project experience (IN, KY, IL and/or MO) and familiarity with the respective agency documentation and material testing certifications; and
Candidates must be able to work as a team member as well as independently, have the desire to learn new skills, be self-motivated, and possess good interpersonal communication skills.

Working at Hanson:

Must be available to travel for out-of-town assignments
This position has a periodic and variable project work schedule. Hours vary based on project demands including potential required overtime. Compensation is provided for overtime.
