MINIMUM PAY RATE: $49,497.49 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide a wide variety of highly responsible and complex clerical and secretarial duties requiring the exercise of a high level of discretion; to provide professional, effective and efficient customer service assistance to students, faculty, and college personnel, and support to the Department Chair. Serves as a secretary to a department head, relieving an administrative official of operational details which involve a great amount of confidentiality. May be involved in the staffing and supervision of part-time clerical employees, lab assistants, and student workers. Considerable judgment, initiative, and independent action in establishing or adapting work procedures to new situations are required. Work requires knowledge of the policies and procedures within the Department and College Systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and type correspondence, documents, internal and external reports, tests and other related materials. Update and maintain syllabi, curriculum, classroom materials, mailing lists, records, handbooks, databases and files.
2. Receive and direct visitors and Chef for a Day participants, handle phone calls, take and relay messages, provide requested information, prioritize and distribute mail. Counsel students and part time instructors on issues and college procedures. Provide technical support to department personnel and students with the use of office equipment.
3. Create all Business Process Outsourcing (BPO's) for all teaching labs, restaurant operations, and process funds to increase, decrease or close as needed throughout the year.
4. Process all auxiliary operations budget transfers, restaurant department charges, work orders, weekly invoices and service arrangements for three culinary auxiliary operations.
5. Handle uniform inventory, fittings, and cutlery kits each semester for each student.
6. Create and maintain semester class schedules.
7. Assist all adjunct faculty in the Department; conduct student evaluations of faculty.
8. Assist students with class registrations, exams, and related services.
9. Order and maintain inventories of textbooks.
10.Prepare payroll for faculty, staff and student workers. 11.Assemble all materials for the program's annual renewal, programmatic accreditation, and Annual Program Update (APU).
12.Schedule all advising appointments for prospective and current students.
13.Track all students for upcoming advising and information packets annually including Chef for a Day, private tours, high school field trips, dual credit enrolled students, HubSpot and webpage requests, etc.
14.Manage and update all content on departmental webpage to reflect accreditation information, outcomes, employment data from surveys, and program accomplishments and curriculum information.
15.Process job posting activities for all positions.
16.Other related duties as assigned.
