The Operations Leader for Leica Biosystems is responsible for meeting or exceeding daily KPI’s to meet operational objectives.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Operations team located in Richmond, IL and will be an on-site position. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of Operations and report to the Director of Operations responsible for front-line leadership of day-to-day operations of a designated production team. Provide overall direction to production floor associates in the areas of production, scheduling, performance management, training and other related areas striving to improve overall operational efficiencies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Coordinates resources and sets daily priorities to meet operational objectives.

+ Oversees and evaluates each cell of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency

+ Proactively manage quality risks/opportunities

+ Communicates effectively with all Supervisors, Managers and associates

+ Lead and participate in structured problem solving and sustain improvements

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the STEM or Business field

+ Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Experience leading in a team cGMP environment preferred

+ Experience with continuous improvement processes and lean manufacturing preferred

+ Experienced in ISO 13485
