The Opportunity

Black & Veatch’s Specialized Solutions – Information Services team has an exciting opportunity to help develop and grow our Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) software and associated information services across our market sectors that include Government & Environment, Connectivity & Commercial, and Energy & Process. The Team

BV’s Governments & Environment business works to provide innovative solutions and integrated planning, design, and construction support for mission-critical facilities, as well as threat reduction and environmental services support worldwide. By joining our business, you will be able to provide infrastructure for community benefit through regulated utilities and government agencies.

This team partners with our customers to align their people, processes, technologies, and data analytics in the face of industry transformation. We help our customers leverage our industry-leading solutions and expertise to modernize water infrastructure, optimize asset use, meet performance goals, reduce costs, and mitigate risk no matter where the water industry goes next. This team is ranked in the top 10 by ENR for Water Design Firms in Water Supply and Sewer Waste and other water-related rankings.

Key Responsibilities

+ Will provide solutions consulting to energy, telecommunications, water, and government agency clients as part of Black & Veatch’s Specialized Solutions offering.

+ Performs analytical, technical, and/or developmental tasks, such as:

+ System configuration design

+ System Architecture design

+ Database design

+ System acceptance testing including integration testing and custom application testing

+ May develop applications or assist in developing new applications using advanced programming tools and languages

+ End-user training, go-live support, and post go-live administration as needed

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with administration or configuration with Trimble e-Builder or similar capital, construction, or project management software

+ Ability to lead or collaborate with technical groups representing a wide range of stakeholders

+ Understanding and proficiency with relational databases and SQL

+ Successful candidates will be skilled in helping clients creatively solve technology challenges related to managing utility infrastructure construction and optimizing their digital investments.

+ Experience with capital program management, construction management, and enterprise software deployment programs experience a plus.

+ Degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, Information Technology or related field

+ Two (2) or more years of experience configuring or administering Trimble e-Builder or similar capital, construction, or project management software.

+ Knowledge of construction management methodologies, processes, and related planning activities

+ Knowledge of procurement management services, methodologies, processes, and related planning activities associated with capital construction management programs

Minimum Qualifications

+ A minimum total of 8 years of related work experience is typically necessary to move into this level

+ Graduate work may count as related work experience if directly applicable to job function
