Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Establish, build, and manage relations with current and potential customers and build long-term relationships with clients in the Consumer Good and Retail industry. Develop and provide content expertise for Procurement Strategy, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Optimization in the Consumer Good and Retail industry. Actively support lead generation, including proposal preparation and presentation. Provide project acquisition and management, including set-up structure of project team, project schedule, work assignments, and cost alignment within budget. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on project delivery and thought leadership activities and drive initiatives. Conceptualize and lead formal presentations, workshops, and discussions with senior managers and executives. Mentor junior staff and participate in recruitment, training, and marketing.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon – Fri 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Logistics, or closely related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a management consulting position or related position in the Consumer Good and Retail industry. Full term experience must include each of the following: Consultancy on procurement strategy and performance improvement in the Consumer Good (including electronics) and Retail industry, focused on North America, including project management responsibility; Managing and optimizing direct material spend, including cut and sew categories, consumer electronics related categories such PCBA, plastic injection modeling parts, machined parts, stamping parts, motor, and power supply; Managing and optimizing indirect spend, including categories such as professional service, IT, facility management, logistics services, and experience in identifying savings opportunities and cost reduction executions; International procedures for shipping, forwarding, and customs; Vendor management and manufacturing process and quality control requirements; Sourcing and managing global logistics service spend, managing key ocean shipping players such as CMA and Maersk, lead vendor negotiations, contract review and vendor performance review; Developing clients to develop global sourcing footprint and capability, including identify and qualify global sourcing vendors, global sourcing feasibility analysis, supply market dynamics analysis, and global sourcing cost breakdown; Optimizing global supplier chain network; Managing final project presentations; and, Mentoring consultants at all levels including project managers.
Must possess four (4) years of experience in managing post-merger/acquisition synergy creations, including procurement, operations and organizational synergy identification and execution.
