Job Description

Training Lead Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 12 months Description: Designs and conducts company training programs. Monitors and reports the effectiveness of training on employees during the orientation period and for career development. Involved in initial plan design and existing plan enhancements. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Contributes to program design and facilitates training and development sessions, interactive meetings, and a variety of solutions via multiple modalities (virtual, synchronous, blended, and in-person) to diverse, global audiences. Provides program management and ensures critical milestones and timelines are met. Closely partners with PLDs Coaching and Teaming Centers of Excellence, and the PLD Operations Team, to ensure efficient and effective program delivery. Provides input on specific evaluation and assessment tools to measure impact and conduct analysis, with ability to leverage data and analytics for enhanced effectiveness. Develops and maintains learning assets, curriculum, and a variety of leader development best practices. Partners with external vendors, where appropriate, and manages budget and vendor agreements when necessary (working closely with the PLD Scaling/Ops team via centralized processes). Communicates with participants and stakeholders to ensure on-going participation, support, and awareness of leadership programs. Drives continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and scalability of development initiatives. Supports program delivery needs such as onboarding facilitators supporting Pathway or COE programming, and coordinating Faculty, Coaches, Support Staff, SMEs, and External Partners. Top 3-5 skill sets that would make a candidate stand out from the rest Strong business communication and facilitation skills with a global audience Strong program/project management skills Instructional and learning program design experience Awareness and proficiency of Slack & Google Suite (Google Docs/ Gmail etc) and virtual communication tools (Go-to-Meeting/Zoom/Google Meet) etc Certifications, education and experience in Learning & Development/ Human Resources/ Organizational Development
