Job Description
Quality Control Technician – South Chicago, IL
Our client is a contract development, manufacturing, and packaging company with a focus on semi-solid, cream, liquid, and alcohol products. They have an unparalleled ability to completely meet and typically exceed our clients’ needs and expectations. They’ve specialized on semi-solids, creams, liquids, and alcohol products since their inception.
Responsibilities:
+ Receiving, sampling, testing and releasing labels, component and raw material, by following approved specification
+ Perform basic lab testing and packaging In-Line checks.
+ Ensure all raw materials and finished products are compliant with documented specifications and procedures though testing.
+ Maintaining all logbooks for laboratory record, material control, Label Control and Equipment cleaning for production and packaging
+ Changing and checking control data for Purified Water system, stability chart recorder and temperature control, and changing chart periodically.
+ Works closely with Quality Assurance and Production personnel to ensure a quality product is being assembled as per documented procedures.
+ Accountable for the inspection, testing, and release of all raw materials, in-process materials, and testing of all finished products per documented specifications and procedures.
+ Accountable for release testing for all shipments.
+ Work with Management to improve product quality and assembly execution.
+ File daily paperwork and assist in maintaining all quality records.
+ Assist with recording and testing customer complaints.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related science
+ 0-2 years of laboratory experience, either undergraduate or industry experience
+ Experience with Analytical Chemistry experience (preferred).
Required Skills:
+ Ability to understand cGMP & SOPs as related to quality control.
+ Be able to learn HPLC, GC, IR, UV, pH meter, Viscometer, Lab Balance.
