+ Schedule: Part-time, (20 hrs per week) 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  • This is a home based Child Care Attendant position who delivers the full

range of Early Head Start services at the client’s home **

Responsibilities

Provide a safe environment for children.

+ Ensure children are supervised at all times.

+ Ensure the environment is safe, clean and in good repair.

+ Report deficiencies to supervisor immediately.

+ Follow acceptable protocol when accepting children for child care coverage.

+ Interact with children and parents appropriately.

+ Assist in maintaining the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom while allowing for the expressive and creative involvement and interaction of children.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Certification specializing in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation preferred.

+ Food Service Professional credentialed from the ServSafe National Restaurant Association preferred.

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,if applicable.

Additional Preferences

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Adult learning, Education or a related field is required

At least 12 hours of Early Childhood Education college credit OR Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) certification i s also required.

Transportation: A personal vehicle is required for this field based position

Lauguage : Spanish speaking skills is preferred
