Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Generate data insights and identify and validate innovation opportunities. Implement, support, and continuously optimize digital manufacturing solutions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce cost. Mine, process, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends form complex data sets. Define problems to be solved and apply advanced data science methods, including machine learning algorithms, to discover opportunities to increase OEE, reduce cost per pound, and/or provide insights to plants on process disruptions. Maintain and tune analytical models to predict and monitor the condition of plant assets. Prepare data insights in narrative or visual forms, e.g., dashboards for stakeholder review/decision making. Implement and maintain data standards, data processes, and new analytics capabilities to continuously enhance asset intelligence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered, as Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or related. Alternatively, employer will accept Master’s degree and completion of an internship (approx. 10-12 weeks), or equivalent experience. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Transforming large amounts of data; Working with and creating data architectures; Data visualization software including Tableau; Machine learning techniques such as RPA; and, Querying databases and using statistical computer languages including R, Python, and SQL. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Remote work permitted.
Up to 30% travel required to visit plant sites.
