ABOUT THE TEAM:
As an industrial engineer on our team, you will work directly with the Senior Leadership Team to drive improvements in quality and operational efficiencies across all production locations. It is the Senior Leadership Teams belief that the success and continued growth of our business, given the very competitive and price sensitive product that will offer, will rely heavily on how efficient our company is compared to our competition.
WHAT YOU BRING:
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with building and managing a quality assurance program
Must be able to analyze existing processes and recommend changes for improvements to quality, cost, delivery, safety and other operational gains
Proven experience in training staff on new processes and providing instructions and documentation
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent Lean knowledge/experience required
Ability to teach, coach, and obtain buy in for production process improvements and incorporating lean principles into operational practices
Must be able to effectively communicate to multiple levels of the organization
Must have awareness and experience with software and hardware-based automation
Must be proficient at analyzing data and drawing conclusions from the analysis
10-15% travel
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Works with senior leadership to identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve quality
Capture, Analyze and report on improvements implemented and the impact over the baseline
Assess and recommend new hardware and or software to improve current state
Work with leadership to embed lean principles into culture
Aid leadership in processes for assessing and driving continue improvement
Work with quality team to review RCAs to verify the correct actions will be taken
